I'm not sure how 'they' worked it out but I do know in my first year on TSW the
average days deployed in a year was around the 256 days mark.
I manged a little over the average in my first year but I was young, care-free and single in those days and loved going to R850, Bosnia and all manner of hastily dug muddy holes in rainy places all over the world for the purpose of keeping those happy SH crews from becoming pedestrians.
