Is this recruitment likely to be ongoing? I'm looking at finishing the ATPL (frozen) course round about may or june of next year.

As there is a constant loss of mainly copilots moving back to their home countries or onto bigger iron (e.g. Cathay LON) you can expect ongoing hiring, if not at the pace seen over the last 2 years. (The current resizing at Austrian might change that but at the time Tyrolean isn't affected.)

TYR doesn't do a lot of "reserve selection" as they don't expect people to wait for a call for several months. That doesn't say you're definitely with a positive selection but the waiting pool is more of a jacuzzi in size

Be aware that you're joining a very young crew. About a quarter of the current seniority list have joined in the last two years and hardly any of them are over age 30. So don't count on pensioners to vacate their left seats for you within the next 15-20 years. On the other hand we've been telling people that an upgrading after five years will soon be a thing of the past for the last ecade but so far that hasn't come true.
