Brussels Airlines is born
Five years to the day after SABENA was declared bankrupt, the new name of the merged SN Brussels Airlines and Virgin Express was announced: it will be Brussels Airlines.
While sales will begin tomorrow, the new livery will only be seen on March 25th, 2007. Apparently, a red "B" will feature on the tail, made of numerous dots. The new CEO (Philippe Vander Putten) summarised the situation by saying: "The new name perfectly summarises the mission of the airline: link the capital of Europe and its airoport to more than 50 European destinations while offering a number of intercontinental routes."
I guess the IATA code will remain SN (?). How about the call sign... "betail" ?
