I don't know if they still charge for the selection. Used to be app. 300 EUR.
The TYR contract requires first year FOs to work 80% of normal block and duty hours only and get 80% of a nominal 1st year FO salary (i.e. the salary table already reflects the 80% restriction).
If they fly more (which they have to if the company schedules them) they get paid, but only on a yearly basis.
Tyrolean hired the last FOs on 80% part-time, resulting in an effective 64% contract that automatically changes to "real" 80% after 365 days. Snap-up t 100% is by crew demand..
The system is probably going to change to one where you regularly get 80% for the first 1-2 years and then 100%.
