That would not surprise me, but it would be completely unjustified. The marketing people don't set the fees. As far as I know, they've been talking to quite a few airlines, EZY included, who could bring real growth to BHX, but, when numbers are talked, the BHX chief bean counters are intransigent and won't do a deal.
The shareholders (or some of them) seemed to think their BACON Cash Cow was going to last forever - despite blinding evidence to the contrary! As I said earlier, the BACON/Flybe tie-up will now force them to come into the real world.
