Greetings Phil Thompson.

After you are finished with your training, Transport Canada allows foreign aviation students to work up to a year. After that, I'm afraid you are going to have to convince an operator to give you a work permit or marry a local. Instructors are in demand as are bush pilots...if you are willing to take a road trip and visit the various operators up north. As for the right seat job, you never know...you might get lucky.
Just to let you know though, Canada has the highest population of Commerial Pilots per percentage of the total population so competition is going to be stiff. On the positive side, BC has some of the best scenary for pilots to encounter.
