Air Atlanta would never roster flights knowing a planned audit is about to take place. My crew were rostered to take over from DCW,JWR and HET returning from Alicanti and we were to crew the flight down to Lanarca on Saturday 24th at 1400hrs. At 1830 hrs on Friday the 23rd, Gatwick Operations rang me at the Posthouse to advise all operations had been cancelled for the week-end due to UKCAA audit. The reason,I was told, for the audit was
[quote] The CAA have reason to believe irregularities exist re: allocation of spare parts and other maintenance scheduling. <hr></blockquote>
The audit showed NO irregularities and operations commenced again on the 26th October.
