Last night I had drinks with a mate of mine who had just turned down an interview with FR and here is why.
He has over 4000 hr, 3000+ multi turbine multi crew, TRE, TRI, world wide experience, and is rated B737 but with no time on type.
So he arranges an interview and get a package saying it would be for a cadet position…WTF?
He called back to confirm and they said that because his time is mostly under 5.7T he will be considered as a cadet…… he politely declined their offer.
FR are still taking the piss, no ifs and buts, there are literally 1000’s of type rated guys out there but they are still playing silly games.
A leopard can not change its spots.
