As a former CF-18 (and GR-4) driver - you are dead right!
When we took students supersonic for the first time in the Hornet, we'd get them to look to the wings and the v & h stabs just to see how much flappin' is goin' on - scary, when super!
Much less wing movement, other than fore an' aft, in the GR-4...
