I would go along with Consol too if I had any money lying around that I could afford to lose - alas no more. That is in no way nay saying AL, but that is just the golden rule of buying any shares - don't take a punt unless you can afford to lose the lot. It has served me extremely well. AL would, like any investment, be a gamble but a lot better than some I've seen. AL looks good on just about every front you could want:
1. Loyal hardworking staff
2. Extremely valueable set of routes/slots (US and LHR of course)
3. Some real estate too apparently
4. Still a much loved brand name by many.
Now how many of those four boxes could FR tick.....
