My CATC spy tells me that the theory was 'floated' at the staff meeting that the compass centre will have an associated hostel/hotel to make the centre of excellence a 'residential' college, thereby eliminating some of the low salary/cost of living issues. Arquably (and you will
) quite a clever solution. Doesn't help the staff though; particularly the ATSA's as someone mentioned earlier.
