Are there any USA counterparts reading this thread that may be able to comment on LPV approaches used in the US with regard to WAAS augmentation capability? This then allows a glideslope indicator to be used for vertical guidance and has in fact lead to lower minimums throughout the US.
I believe AirServices have been considering for some time this method, but are undecided about whether to use the US, Japanese or Euro's augmentation system.
This has got to be a much safer system and we can only hope that the procrastination ends before another tragedy results.
