Aw, it's the same old thing - "lost in the translation": two different CAD/CAM systems churning out reams of drawings but not on the same design system, causing download anomolies and manual corrections. Then they chase their tails to figure out which one's right, when integration to the same system would certainly be the answer. Addressing these types of corrections is NOT as simple as it appears - one must correlate info from both systems into one, THEN extrapolate which one is right and wrong and go on from there (integration process).

And yes, Airbus is into the ISO's (and Six Sigma), but on the EU side it's AS/EN9100 - same thing, different regional translation (tongue in cheek). It's the procedures (EN9100 + 6sig) that will determine how to address the design flaw. They'll get there.
