Well if I found it my first thoughts would be is there a good chance that the owner can be reunited with item.
In your case every chance so I would definately hand it over but I doubt if a teenage kid or someone who wishes a PSP badly enough would if they found it.
Could have been any number of people who found and kept it, disembarking PAX, cleaner,FA or next flights PAX.
