Yes it makes a big different having a union. Generally, better working conditions, agreements, etc.
They also look at different cabin services to see how it will work.
Do not let anyone tell you that Unions are a bad thing. Times have moved on from the 1970-1980`s. A good example is the railways here in the UK. The Unions fought against privatisation and the Thatcher Government who underfunded the railways because the unions were strong, and were against "that" womans ideas. Just look whos right now!
