Perhaps you should do some research before you sound off. Bearing
in mind that he was "First Sea Lord" (and responsible for the Gallipoli fiasco) he was one of the first to see the advantages of Air Power. One must admit, however, that his support of the Tank Corps in 1918 in preferance to the RFC/RAF was an abberation.
Perhaps the fact that "Tank" trials had initially been undertaken by the Navy coloured his view!!
