I propose City-style mega-bonuses for service personnel when the Services 'make a profit', where 'profit' equals 'Yes, the Armed Forces are doing their very best to defend the UK properly despite not being fully supported by the government' and loss equals the opposite. Right now they are in profit, and have been since duffing up the Spanish Armada.
Get rid of the political mindset that the Armed Forces will automatically dig the politicians out of the hole they have dropped the nation into.
