Yes , today police arrested one guy of italian caa while he was reciving 125.000 € from Eurojet staff in order to adjust final report of the incident of 2002 . He ask to the caa inspector to file a report in a way that all the responsabilty of the crash was by the (dead) Cpt.

Sadly, this isn't a one off either and the Italians need to learn that their age old customs of bribery and corruption have no place at all in today's Europe, especially not in aviation. In the rest of the EU, commericial operators throw lots of money at preventing accidents and we throw 125k at hiding them
The fact the the CAA inspector was open to the corruption signals to me to believe this may be the tip of a titanic sinking iceberg, but I do hope I'm wrong.
