Well something will have to be done, the terminal is far to small for next years operations never mind 2012 and a couple of B737 stands wont be enough. I would have thought that the powers that be would rather make STN bigger before it was needed but guess not.
To make another point, If anything "touch wood" was to happen at LHR, ie Terror attack, where would all the a/c go, I think that all south east airports need to make room for what if's.
