They have been able to hire a wealth of experience on the B747-400. Captains are mostly retired from Cathay Pacific and British Airways. Most of the First Officers have also thousands of hours of experience on the -400 and basically ready to move to the left seat, when necessary.
Oasis seems to make many of the simple but extremely important things right. Experienced Management team, experienced flight crews and extremely well funded to start with. Nevermind a quite unique business plan.
