Ive wanted to do this for ages but will never get he chance, i can garuntee you if you gave me a que of 100 pax with the same bags and stuff as a ryanair que i would have it done in no time and there is no way it would be faster than me or many other agents using computers.
Your comparison with ab isnt too valid becuse you had the luxury to get the choice of seats but if you just copmared the basic check in tasks like boarding pass and bag tag then the airlines with computers will win hands down
And maybe your right about the computers crashing but it only happens rarely that it allows the advantages to out way the disadvantages so makes it better for those using computers.
