Post The PPL Budget Referance (Bible)

Clearly there are many people browsing this board at the planning stages of undertaking professional pilot training. For everyone that starts with (in one way or another) getting a JAR PPL. I am at the stage of trying to go through the financial planning as rigarously as possible (pretty much mandatory in the current climate).
I thought it would be a useful exercise to jot down all of the costs that can be anticipated in obtaining a UK valid PPL. There will be things (no matter how minor) that I will have missed on the list so just post below, even if you don't know or cannot easily predict the actual amount.
As this is a professional pilot training forum I'd urge people who are beyond PPL training to start a seperate thread for the fATPL budget to avoid confusing this one. If it works this thread could provide a useful reference for others looking to budget their training.
