More than once I've been vectored all over the place-- the controllers obviously up to their eyeballs with more airplanes and weather than they can handle.
Yet there is a pretty little NDB on the localizer to runway 27. While vectoring is great on some days to keep the flow up, isn't a possible solution to stack them, and descend each one 1000' when the previous is cleared for the approach on days when weather is not cooperating or he's trying to get departures out?
I think the Mumbai controllers enjoy "flying" the airplanes all over the countryside.
