Since FMS computers are becoming more and more common, I guess the solution will be to have the
computer detect the actual runway used, location, distances to both runway ends, TO direction, from GPS and the
compass and independent of what the pilots enter !!!
Too bad the bureaucrats will take 20 years to improve things !!
But that still leaves the older cockpits.
Until then I say paint the god-damn midfield lines or put signs midfield.
