The information regarding night stops is not accurate. There are bullets however there are quite a few trips where the crew are away for at least two nights. e.g LAX and SFO. The crew are initially trained on boeing a/c 200 and 400 and then after approx 6 months they are trained on A340. That then allows them to go to NRT, HKG, JNB etc.
The money is not fantastic however it isn't the worst in the industry either. I have heard that a lot of people are unhappy and looking elsewhere however that appears to be the norm in aviation. On the other hand I know that a lot of people who do leave request to return.
If you haven't flown before I would recommend it for at least a year. It's a great opportunity, with excellent staff travel concessions, however I wouldn't bank on saving any money.
