More spin?

From the Qantas press release:

The Qantas Group today announced that Jetstar would
commence daily operations on the Cairns-Darwin-Singapore route from 29 October, replacing the current five weekly Qantas B767 services.
From the Jetstar press release:

The daily A320 service will replace an existing Qantas service operating 5 times weekly, and will boost seat capacity on the route by almost 10 per cent.
While it is true that Jetstar are going daily as compared with Qantas's current five a week, is there any truth in a story going around that Qantas were going to a daily 767 from November? If true, the spin doctors 'win' again but they aren't telling all of the story. With the change of carrier and equipment, Business Class disappears altogether, there is a significant reduction in freight capacity and an incomparable difference in passenger service levels.

How can anyone call this either progress or development, unless you are a spin doctor?
