IMHO the general rule is to take only the finest physical specimens
as you are never going to get better. Then, as you age, they will provide all the prosthetics to keep you going and that includes artificial legs, glass eyes, etc. It cost buckets to train you and then even more buckets to get rid of you if you are medically discharged.
So, apply and let them make the decision.
