Some more pics from Central Australia.
1. Landing atop Uluru (Ayers Rock) for rescue training with the local Park Rangers.
2. A little dust storm we had here recently. Due to a lack of rain this year combined with several large bushfires there is very little vegetation to hold the top soil together, as the winds pick up so does the soil!
3. Some of you may have taken the kids to see 'Kangaroo Jack' earlier this year. One of our Jetrangers was painted as a Police helicopter for the role and I was a Sargeant for a day! They actually painted it twice, after finishing the filming and sending us home they realised they had forgotten to do several shots. We ferried the aircraft back to the location, some two hours from our base, where they painted the aircraft again! The 'paint' simply peels off after filming as you can see in the last pic.
