Ohhhh,
besides the humour and the patience you also need a fair bit of psychology, since OPS obviously is always responsible for anything that's going wrong (which doesn't automatically mean that you will be patted on the shoulder is something's going better than expected - there, you got to join the queue). Than of course, the patience and humour come along handy to cope with all your 'wrongdoings'.
