From the latest NZ ALPA Magazine...
Mt Cook pilots remain engaged in industrial action
involving not working on days off, not returning
to work from annual leave, not accepting any
changes to the published roster, and not working
with non-union members who work more than
certain minimum number of days off. As mentioned
in previous magazines, Mt Cook pilots are seeking
little more than the Air NZ group's standard
conditions for pilots; however this appears to be
denied them by an Air NZ group policy demanding
that employment conditions be different across the
group! The Employment Relations Authority have
assisted in a ‘facilitated bargaining’ process which
soon resulted in a recommended, but not imposed
settlement.
Any other news lately??, some new hires have start dates for later this month, does this mean people are leaving already or are the company ramping up recruiting with a possible end in sight?
