Shame the traffic was so bad but last year it was fine, no delays getting in and we had an hour of slow traffic getting out. In all not too bad. I guess the accident was just bad luck.
But given the TAF from last night why did you all bother? The weather was exactly as forecast. I binned because despite the chance they might scrape a few trips in I didn't fancy sitting in a wet field trying to have a picnic under and umbrella that was trying to become part of the display. ~As pilots we are blessed with good weather information sources ,why didn't you believe them. I can understand the great unwashed not understanding cloud bases and visibility but as part of the master pilot race we are in a unique position. Mind you it was probably the first time this year the TAF and the METAR agreed.
