Hot starts
Am I the only person who has problems starting a hot fuel injected engine? It is starting to drive me crazy. I think that you would get better odds on the lottery compaired to if she is going to fire first time.
The flt manual says one thing. The check list that is provided by the flying school says another thing....Fuel pump on / fuel pump off / Prime / Dont Prime...Everyone you speak to says something different. I have tried a lot of the combinations but none of them seem to be too sucessful.
The airport that I fly from is abt 1600ft abv sl. Does this make any difference to a hot start??
I would be greatful for any constructive assistance. The only thing that seems to get a good work out is the starter motor and then the battery slowly dies on you. Its a good job that we carry external power leads in the plane!
