Hey Ficky isn't that also only 3 pilots out of 550 that have made positive comments!! Statistics, damn lies and statistics...
I hope that the comments here don't put anyone off joining the company. Ficky is right when he says that guys reading this thread that are put off are too 'fickle'. They were probably going to join for the wrong reason anyway. Isn't that the point of giving a balanced view?
Anyone that comes to EK should carry out effective research to ensure that they have all the facts available to them before they leap. In the past there have been a lot of glowing comments made about the company maybe this thread has redressed the balance a little with a few more differing opinions. I wish when I joined folks had been a little more honest.
It would not have changed my decision but there would have been no surprises. If we really want to remain an airline with outstanding prospects there should be no need to hide anything. We should be able to recruit the right kind of pilots based upon our own merits, once any potential weaknesses have been taken into account. Hopefully we will then have a well motivated and effective pilot group.
Lets hope that we atleast consolidate our position so that EK remains a place that good pilots will want to join in the future. Then the company will go from strength to strength which will be good for us all.
I don't want to think about the alternative.
