Maybe, but we don't know what state the world would be in otherwise. And the state of my world is quite nice actually, with no small credit for that due to the Brits' common law, property rights, rule of law, language, etc. etc.
What I worry about is what state the world will be in if what the Brits contributed is wiped out.
