Virgin conditions

hey guys
from an ex VB CS ...jsut to let you know its great to see you all asking qustions about the conditions and the EBA -for those who dont know an Enterprise Barganing Agreement.
I cannot stress enough how important it is you all know this document back to front/sideways!!!
you will be enering VB at a time where change is in the air, but please be careful of what you are told from a company perspective...unfortunately from business perspective (and that is what most airlines are now focused on) KPI and KRA's ,that is figures and statson efficeny andgetting the upmost productivity from the crew are the most important thing...not always your well being..
it is a sad realtiy that most big companies are now heding this way,but from where you are standing your EBa is your chance to have a say and say no to any conditions that will affect your new lifefstyle...be informed and mature and dont believe everything you heat from the trainers and company staff..
they have had a HUGE turnover of late and a even BIGGER problem with fatigue and roster related issues in the past two years especially..the current EBA needs a massive overhaul as when it was voted in ..it was done so by largely uninformed and uneducated crew like yourselves...that is not your fault but it can changed if everyone a joins the FAAA (flight attendant union) that will inform you in a professional and intelligent and mature way) -they are there to help you negotiate in the best possible way working with the company to get to postive outcomes..however, you are all the voices and without you the FAAA has no chance ..so make sure you join.. as I have stated before it is all fully tax deductible ...
However as new crew do not
1. be afraid to ask qus and for no know tht current EBA well..if you are unsure ask your FAAA reps and other experienced crew who will happily tell you what to wth out for!
2.Keep up to date with the new EBA negotiations and read everything and think carefully before you sign anything ..you will not get in trouble for being an intelligent and mature minded individual ! you WILL benefit long term from the conditions you vote in..there are alot of rumours flying around so dont believe everthing you hear out there...
Talk to as many FAAA reps and other experienced crew as you can ! they will be wrapped you are asking ...remember they have often been around long enough to know the pitfalls and benefits of the system...
just look after yourselves and have a ball too! im not out to scare you but merely inform you of something that will help to make you a great f/a!
any questions dont hesitate to ask!
