What have you got against airline pilots? You must be very jealous. Your comparisons
are just lame. Comparing a cruise ship captain to an airline captain is just wrong.
They aren't even close. Airline pilots who fly longer flights have usually been at the airline longer---hence are paid more. They are paid for their experience---which in bad weather can be a real asset to the whole airline. A series of crashes could bankrupt an airline. And as for military pilots----
most of them want to eventually go to the airlines----and they should be paying us to
fly those fighters----it looks mighty fun.
So, get off your high horse and appreciate
your pilots---their skill is an asset worth
the money they make.
