The old timers used to say that they made a "Cadilac a month" in pay. That was in the sixties. So now days either Cadies are overpriced or we as pilots are not doing a very good job at all keeping up with inflation. A few pilot groups in the U.S. were finaly getting thier pay up to respectable levels before Sept 11. Now management will push relentlesly for concessions that won't make a bit of difference to them in the long run, but will take years to renegotiate for us.
And so it goes.
