Hi everone, iam new to this forum but just thought i would write a reply to the post.
I appiled to qantas on july 30th and got an automated reply more or less straight away, then on august 8th i got an e-mail about the backlog (same as you guys).
I thought i would give them a quick call on friday (18th aug) to see where my application is at.
I was told it is now under review and should hear back sometime next week.
The guy on the phone told me that they get around 100 applications every day and that 30% of those fail the application stage. He told me that at the moment i was in the 70% that made it this far, he also said that the good news is that they have a lot of assesment days coming up.
So i guess now its just a waiting game (i just hope I get that phone call this week).
