With such a great pay deal I wonder why Serco are always advertising then?
Now I've got more cash in my hands than I used to back home! As Red Dragon is saying is true, you cannot compare so easily between countries. I just know that my living standard is higher in the UAE than my home country. And that's probably why many wants to come here, even with Serco around
I think Dr Evil's quote of 80,000USD is a little mis-leading. It includes accommodation allowance, all of which goes towards either paying rent or a mortgage, and so you wouldn't see any of it in your pay packet as such.
Just like back home right? You can by a tent in Ace Hardware and move out to Rub Al Khali or buy property or rent or share or whatever
Its your call. But I would say after the housing allowance is deducted its more likely to be around 60.000$ in your hands in Abu Dhabi.
