When SAS originally bought their 40% stake in BM they got the "right" to buy the remaining 60% should they be offered for sale.
There is no doubt that SAS/Lufthansa will take over BMI should they get the chance .. at some point SAS will merge with Lufthansa as well .. maybe the new name will be LufthanSAS
