19 heads out of Witu just after I started with Crowleys.
Sat in the cockpit writing the manifest whilst they filed past carrying their bilums etc to the baggage hatch, and when I had collected all the money, closed the hatch as they had very nicely loaded it all for me.....
Had to force the doors shut........ and got most of the way down the strip towards the soda water when the nose started to rise....... heap of trim and we missed the driftwood logs......!
Got into Bali and turned around to start a count......damn thing was black with a thousand eyes......
Hold was full of coconuts...... obviously a BYO party!
Never used a manifest after that and picked up every bit of baggage.
