Passengers cannot take their tweezers on board. However, their airside duty free spirits, as Devils Advocate points out, does represent a very flammable cocktail. Also as any self-respecting pub brawler will tell you a smashed bottle makes a formidable dagger. I would rather face a disgruntled passenger waving a pair of tweezers at me than a smashed bottle of Remy Martin (Grand Cru). Should all spirits be in plastic bottles for airside purchase? Would you drink wine or Champaign from a plastic bottle if that’s all that was available airside?
