There have indeed been a couple of direct A320 checkies hired recently.
I will have you know that I do indeed check my info before posting. Therefore, the indviduals I refer to are not the same and the info above is very correct.
The two aforementioned are doing their conversion training at present.
BTW. It was in no way a slur against them (although one of them did fail the QF intake testing
4 times
), just a another example of the imbalance in the recruiting system and the resulted downgrading of better qualified individuals.

I have a couple of A330/320 Capt mates who were told "you are
not qualified", and would not be invited for the selection process. These guys are very well educated, experienced and certainly meet QF requirements for A330 command.
