I was led to believe that the new HR boss (RG) was
not going to allow the "mates" deals of the past to continue.
A couple of the very latest "direct entry" Captains are raising some serious eyebrows. A few points;
- Jetstar is all Airbus and will remain so "domestically."
- For Boeing drivers to claim that the 737 to 787 is just a CCQ is B.S!! (The argument being that it is better to employ 737 drivers now!!)
- Is HR (via the Ansett direction) profiling the best candidate for the job, or best mate for the job?
Why then has a 59yr old who has
only flown a 737, been given a direct entry A330 slot??
(Who is paying for this? How long can he fly Internationally?)
And another guy, who also has only flown the 737, been given a Direct Checkee position??
Currently employed very, very experienced Airbus Captains are being downgraded to F/O to make way for this???
Why?
