Problem here:
Swakopmund, the first airfield to have the lights in Namibia,worked very well...Now some(I think 6) of them reflectors are missing.Then out comes a NOTAM prohibiting landings at night.
Guess it wasn't of much use then...That is until they replace the missing ones just to have them vandalised again
On a positive note though,even though they just about lasted a year lots of lives were saved by mercy flights being able to land there at night...
