i realise this is slightly hi-jacking a school work experience thread, but i'm considering moving into an airline related job for a while before applying to CTC etc to try and get some experience of the industry, bit of broader knowledge etc. i currrently work in admin at a university but am up for getting my hands dirty if i'm offered the chance. however, i would need to earn a liveable wage.
i've been looking on airline websites for current opportunities but am not actually sure what goes on 'behind the scenes' at airports so don't know what positions would be open to me, or which would provide the most valuable experience. can anyone offer me any pointers?
and, while i'm at it, do people think this type of move is a sensible idea, or would i be better off gaining as many 'transferrable skills' in the job i'm in at the moment and getting a reasonable paypacket to save up for my training?
many thanks
