I remember when at EMA British Midland Commuter first became bmibaby, and our regular passengers saw us change from wearing very professional uniforms (ladies with hats & gloves, tied up hair) to wearing the red puffa jacket, green trousers & nasty t-shirts. I distinctly remember one passenger on the first Monday when it all went bmibaby, boarding a flight to a major European city, I think it was AMS or BRU and told me at the door "I'm sorry to tell you, that you look absolutely ridiculous in what you're wearing, and have no idea how you can have any pride in your job or self-respect wearing that." I found that particularly hurtful, I know he didn't mean for it to be a personal dig, but I took it very personally.
