Please note that you cannot hold both a JAR-FCL CPL(A)
and a JAR-FCL PPL(A) - it's one or the other!
FIs should indeed know the basic revalidation and renewal criteria!
The 5-year re-issue (which the CAA incorrectly term 'renewal') I raised with the relevant minster when the original CAA Regulatory Impact Statement was circulated - they tried to show that maintaining a PPL would be cheaper under JAR-FCL....
