What I was saying, in an attempted light hearted fashion, was that if you wanted big donks on a Meteor, then the version flown with the Trent (now the Trent runs on the A380, but the original was the turboprop as fitted to Meteor) might have lifted a few eyebrows, or even wry smiles, in the context of the thread.
Still pretty sure of 1946 for the Trent Meatbox, though I have a niggling doubt that it was 1947. Somewhere I have a picture of it, though God knows where. Kept and filed well before PC days.
