To be honest EGKK, I was not that far behind you, I think I got in around 1020 or there abouts through the entrance at carpark 6 which was next to all the carnival attractions. Perhaps it was just this entrance but the staff working it were just waving people through without any checks.
I'm not sure of the entrance I entered through but think was Gate A which was where the buses from train stations and park and ride entered.
Here there was fully operational security which had to go through with bag x rayed and metal detected security staff were quite agressive once someone had passed through archway would literally turn you round and swipe down your back checking further for...
Anyone could have easily slipped past this check point few scanners towards the end were not operational could just slip through.
